Conditions of entry

Overall rules:


All students of Tilburg University can apply (bachelor, master, PhD, PDEng).

Participation is free of charge.

Graduates can apply if graduated after June 2023

A team may have a minimum of one and a maximum of seven members.

An individual cannot apply with more than one team.

A team cannot apply multiple times (one team, one project).

The final placement of projects in categories will be done by the Tilburg University Challenge organization.

If you participated in 2023, you can join again with the same idea if you have developed it further in the past few months and are now in category Business Ready.

If you participated in 2023, you can also join with a new idea or new team.

Ideation Category

The concept is validated to determine its viability for further development.

Is there a clear problem for a specific target group? Has that problem been validated with them? Is there a strong/clear value proposition statement?

Requirements (at least 1 of the options below):

Business Ready Category

There is a Minimal Viable Product in which the solution addresses the problem, demonstrated by market traction.

Is there a clear problem for a specific target group? Has that problem been validated with them? Is there a strong/clear value proposition statement?

Has there been careful consideration of pricing strategy options? Is there a revenue model and an MVP? What traction do they see on their MVP?
